Princess Eutropia is the only surviving child of Grand Prince Stavian III. Known for her reformist and decidedly non-traditional politics, she has built something of a following in the fringes of Taldan society. This has not endeared her much to her more conservative subjects, mostly the entrenched nobility.
Thanks to the law of Taldor being that only males can become Emperor and Grand Prince, she has been leading an effort to repeal agnatic primogeniture (inheritance by only male children) and replace it with absolute primogeniture (inheritance by the oldest regardless of gender). In order to bring this before the Senate, she has traded on many favors and engaged in considerable skullduggery against the nobles. With the successful repeal, she should be next in line for the throne, but her father officially adopted High Strategos Maxillar Pythareus. The fact that Stavian III then instigated a massacre after the vote and was himself an apparent victim of his own attack does little to assure any of his mental state.
The party finally met the Princess after rescuing Martella from the clutches of the Brotherhood of Silence. She thanked them both for their service to her, and for rescuing her friend. She named each of the PCs to roles in her future government. The party also has learned of her alter-ego, the vigilante known as the White Lion. She has been using that identity to battle corruption in the bureaucracy and among the nobility.
Years ago, under an assumed name, Eutropia was sent to the Sinora Academia, a well-known girls school. There, she put together a gang of roguish young ladies who terrorized the staff and parents, while delighting the students. Among these gentle thugs were her future spymaster Martella Lotheed, and her future Defender of the Crown Alessandra Vasileiou.
