Halmash appears to be a large wolf, but in reality he is a lycan-born, a sort of spawn of lycanthropes with only a wolf form.
Halmash bit a werewolf hunter who wiped out his clan and passed on a weakened form of the curse. The offspring of the victim would be skinwalkers, which got the hunter and his children exiled from their community.
Eventually the Rallis family settled in Sotto, where Halmash forced them to serve him. He demands sacrifices of livestock and game, but some years, demands human sacrifice.
The party was attacked by him alongside Phillipos Rallis, and they defeated the lycan-born. Phillipos killed the monster and freed his family from the beast.
