Blunk, Nodd, and Wink are domovoi, a type of tiny fey also known as house spirits. They inhabit houses in rural areas and become attached to the family that lives there, serving the family. While rare, they are not unheard of in places like Meratt where some farm families will try to lure house spirits to their homes.
Domovoi can shapeshift into cats or dogs, with these three all preferring a cat form. They also have considerable telekinesis and can turn invisible at will. Small spaces are no obstacle as they can compress their already tiny bodies to slip under doors or into cracks in walls.
Blunk is a bellicose sort, paranoid and quick to assume something is a threat. He wears an orange hat and has blue eyes. His cat form is a slinky and taut tabby. He has one level in rogue.
Nodd is gregarious and easy-going, eager to make friends. He wears a faded green hat and has green eyes. His cat form is black and greenish. He has one level in sorcerer.
Wink is quite shy, but once he warms up, he’s a joyful soul. He wears a gray hood and has yellow eyes. His cat form is a thick fluffy grey, brown, and white calico. He has one level in cleric of Desna.
The three of them befriended Aliss Betony in her childhood, and she kept them as her only companions until her death. Their quirky personalities and class level are partly due to her lifelong influence. While they are fiercely loyal to the Betony family and each other, they are equally fierce opponents to any who would harm their family.
