Giado Eta

One of Count Lotheed’s “licensed tax collectors”, Giado Eta is really just a thug who pays a huge amount of money to the Count and is then allowed to make his money back from the citizens of the county, plus a little extra. Accompanied by a few mercenaries, he goes from settlement to settlement, making exorbitant demands, in some cases up to 50% of a settlement’s yearly income.

He has not yet been encountered, but the party has already been working against him. They found evidence of his corruption in his home in Lotheedar.

When Giado came to collect taxes from Stachys, the party trapped him in an illusion-cloaked cage before hitting him with offense after offense he has committed against the people of Stachys and Meratt. With his guards bought off, his illicit scales and false tax records discovered, and nobody to defend him, he was jailed in Stachys, then taken to Lotheedar for trial.

Once his trial is complete, he will be found guilty of fraud, theft, assault, and most seriously, defacing of an Abadarian seal. His sentence will be a six month stay in prison, then to make restitution to his victims. To start, all of his assets are seized and distributed. The party receives his house in Lotheedar, his carriage and horses, and a large chunk of his personal fortune.
