Qarit is a shinigami, a LN outsider who hails from the Boneyard. Shinigami dispassionately hunt down those who disrupt the balance of life. Qarit once met Taldaris while he was a mortal, after hearing harrowing tales of a powerful warlord laying waste to what would become Taldor. Qarit came to destroy the bloodthirsty tyrant, but what he found was instead a wise, thoughtful prince who met his scythe with words not violence.
After a long discussion with Taldaris, in which the ruler impressed Qarit with his philosophy, the two parted ways. They exchanged gifts, which would give rise to the myth of Taldaris exchanging three lilies for 90 additional years of life.
Alyx met with Qarit in Sayashto, where she learned that he and Taldaris frequently met, but not in some time. He had a lock of Taldaris’ hair which he offered for assistance with divinations.
