When Taldaris succumbed to the venom of his final opponent, Verksaris the Kingeater, in -1144 AR, his spirit was judged by Pharasma and he become a petitioner in Axis. For a thousand years, he studied the script on his skin, and upon finishing his study, become a full-fledged inevitable.
Specifically, an impariut inevitable. Advisors to monarchs and slayers of those who would abuse their power, impariuts frequently interact with the mortal world. Though Taldaris retains faint memories of his time in life, including a recognition of the empire he founded, he has never returned physically to his realm.
In 4718 AR, he was kidnapped by cultists serving Norgorber and held in Duskfathom. However, the party was able to rescue him from his prison. How he sees his saviors and what has become of Taldor remains to be seen.
